Holds
Holds are able to be placed on any title in the OWWL system. OWWL cardholders are able to place up to seven (7) holds. Please note that the limit of seven holds is a system-wide limit that includes active holds, suspended holds, and holds available for pickup. This measure is temporary as modified delivery resumes and will be assessed once we are able to increase capacity.

Please make sure to provide a phone number when placing your hold; many OWWL member libraries continue to contact patrons by phone to arrange pickup of available holds. Automated hold availability notification emails and SMS text messages are now sent when holds are available.

Returns
When you return items, they may remain on your account for several days, but no overdue fees will accrue. For your safety and the safety of library staff, current recommended safety protocols at our libraries include quarantining returned items for a set number of days. Items will be checked in by library staff once the quarantine period has passed. Once checked in, these items will no longer appear on your account.
