Speaker Services, Community Fair Presentations, Booker B. OWWL Mascot Appearances
The Outreach Department actively builds community awareness about library services through a variety of venues. We staff booths at community fairs, provide workshops, speak to Rotary and service organizations and provide subject presentations covering the value and variety of library services available to community members. Sample presentations: Healthy Choices via the Web, OWWL Services, Growing a Reader, Job Information, Power of OWWL, Outreach to Spanish speakers, Websites for Seniors.
The Outreach Department also coordinates with member libraries appearances by our library mascot Booker B. OWWL. Booker makes appearances at community festivals, parades, story times, daycares and special events.
